Passion is a vital part of the Christian life. God made us passionate creatures. God created us to love, to have joy, and to be satisfied. True love, joy and satisfaction only comes when we are enjoying and glorifying our creator - the purpose for which we were created. True passion can only come from true knowledge. Without knowledge passion is only a feeling. If God created us to be wise, passionate creatures, then it should be my desire to know God more - something He has, just like getting to know my wife more only increases my love for her.

Does that answer your question?
