Some of you may know that I have a very bad habit. I tend to read the blogs of emerging..or post emerging (whatever they are) authors, speakers and “theologians” like Brian McLaren, Tony Jones and the like. This is a bad habit because many times I end up staying up late at night arguing with them in my mind and marveling at the foolishness of their arguments and realizing that they’ve hijacked language and scripture to say and mean things that it neither says nor means (Tony Jones’ recent kick on homosexuality an extreme case-in-point).
But, I’ve found the perfect site to ease my frustrations, allowing me to chuckle at some of the laughable ironies that continually surface as I peruse the blogs. The following pictures are just a few that can be found at http://www.spurgeon.org/~phil/posters.htm and perfectly satirize some of the common themes one runs across when reading emerging/emergent theology/philosophy.

Terrific ! Check out my comments on revisiting a familiar parable. http://rhea.nocdirect.com/~bbc-cort/medmoment//issue.php?issnum=266
Maybe we could do another poster. Something about practicing sinners being “cool.”
I read that! An excellent article which may very likely be featured here shortly.
Here you go…the picture that would relate to your comment
